Mr. John Rodda
John Rodda has 30 years’ experience in the energy industry including oil & gas and power generation ranging from strategy, production operations, commercial development, risk management and health and safety working at all levels in the organization from frontline senior executive management and Board level. John has acted in various executive roles at Origin Energy including General Manager for Production and General Manager for Commercial.
Dr. Xingjin Wang
Xingjin Wang is a reservoir engineer with 30 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and production. He has extensive experience in the Bowen Basin and Surat Basin. Xingjin was the Senior Petroleum Engineer of Mosaic Oil and General Manager (Engineering) of Arrow Energy from 2007 to 2010. He was awarded an honorary professor at Centre for Coal Seam Gas at the University of Queensland. Xingjin holds a PhD in Applied Geology from the University of New South Wales. Xingjin was Program Committee Member of SPE conference and is Program Committee Member and Co-Chair of Unconventional Gas Session at 11 IPTC.
Mr. Benson Wong
Benson Wong is a management finance specialist with 15 years’ senior managerial experience. As a director and CEO of several oil and gas exploration and development companies including Denison Gas Limited, Denison Gas (Queensland) Pty Ltd, Southernpec (Australia) Pty Ltd and Pilot Energy Limited, Benson’s finance credentials and local and international contacts have been invaluable in developing these businesses. Benson holds a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, and a Bachelor of Business from Sydney University of Technology.
Mr. Robert Gard
Chief Executive Officer
Robert Gard has more than 30 years’ experience in all aspects of the Petroleum Industry. His experience includes 23 years with ExxonMobil where he worked across the whole value chain, 8 years with ASX listed small cap “MEO Australia Limited” (now Melbana) on various Australian and international ventures and with AGL Energy as commercial manager of Upstream assets and site selection of their Proposed LNG Import terminal. Most recently Robert has been providing advisory assistance to Orient related entities and has assisted with acquisition and due diligence of a number of upstream assets.
Sarah Shen is an experienced finance professional with strong industry knowledge and background. Prior to joining Denison Gas, she spent 11 years at PwC Australia providing assurance & advisory services to a wide range of listed, public and private companies. Later in her time at PwC, she worked as Financial Controller of Business Finance Divisions. Her core skills are around financial reporting, internal control & compliance, financial planning & analysis, and M&A process. Sarah holds a Master of Applied Accounting degree from the University of Sydney and is a member of CA ANZ with 10 years of post-qualification experience.
Mr. Tim Petersen
Chief Operation Officer
Tim Petersen is an experienced oil and gas professional specialising in asset and engineering management, project management, oil and gas operations and facilities/process engineering. He has over 30 years’ work experience in operations in the Surat and Bowen Basins, working for AGL, Mosaic Oil, Kinhill/Brown and Root and Bridge Oil. During 11 years at Mosaic Oil, he was Production Manager and Acting CEO, and was a key part of the team that acquired the Silver Springs Surat Basin assets and returned them to profitability. After AGL acquired the assets, he remained as Asset Manager and then moved to Head of Engineering (Upstream Gas) where he worked on conventional and CSG assets and projects.
Mr. Michael Lonergan
Michael Lonergan is a petroleum geophysicist with over 30 years of domestic and international oil and gas experience. He has held senior technical and project management roles during his career, having worked for Delhi Petroleum, Oil Company of Australia, Origin Energy, Rohol-Aufsuchungs Aktiengesellschaft, Mosaic Oil, AGL and Pangaea Resources. He has been involved in the discovery, appraisal and development of oil and gas in conventional and unconventional reservoirs across numerous complex Australian and international basins, including the Bowen, Surat, Cooper, Beetaloo, Otway, Bass Basins.
Mr. Chris Holmes
Chris Holmes is a petroleum geologist with 15 years experience in Australia’s major central and east coast basins. Chris worked for AGL for 13 years and was one of the founding members of the Upstream Gas group. Here he participated in and led teams responsible for major reserves growth and successful exploration and development campaigns targeting oil, gas and CSG primarily in the Cooper, Surat-Bowen and Sydney Basins. He was also the technical lead in many new venture evaluations and several asset and company acquisitions. Prior to his time with AGL, Chris worked as a geologist at Sydney Gas Ltd and as a contract field geologist in the Bowen Basin CSG fields.
